Pilates Based Fitness

Pilates is a system of exercises and principles that were developed by Joseph Pilates in the late 1940's.  He developed this system originally to help rehabilitate wounded soldiers in the WWII.  He later moved to NYC and improved his method working with ballet dancers.  Pretty drastic difference in clientele, right?  
Pilates based fitness utilizes the primal movements and principles that Joe's students articulated as:

Concentration, Control, Center, Breath, Fluidity, and Precision.

The results are balanced musculature, increased flexibility, impeccable posture and improved coordination.

 As a mobile instructor, I bring portable exercise equipment that help to mimic the type of  equipment you would find in a traditional Pilates studio- in particular, the Reformer*.  This allows you do most of the traditional Pilates exercises and more- all in the convenience of your own home/office/local park.

If you have a Reformer at home, I would be delighted to teach you how to use it to further your  Pilates practice.
